Tarnowski Palace
In July and October last year, I had the pleasure to carry out photo sessions of the hotel and park complex – the beautifully restored Tarnowski Palace in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. In addition to the session of the interior and architecture of the Palace and the Palace SPA and the adjacent buildings of manors and the park surrounding the Palace, I also had the pleasure, a bit of a surprise … to photograph some of the dishes served by the palace restaurant. This photo gallery is devoted to the representative part of the Palace, the building, restaurant, banquet hall and the historical park surrounding the property. Due to the fact that it is the first of a series of several galleries devoted to this atmospheric place, it is worth mentioning a bit about its history. Initially, it was a small manor house built by Jerzy Dobrzański around 1820. The manor house was the seat of the board of mechanical presses – forging machines working nearby. At the end of the 19th century, the property was bought by the Wielopolski family. The countess of Wielopolska lived here and there was a hunting lodge, hence the name of the facility at that time Hunting Palace in the Forge. It was used by the Count as an apartment and office of a forest inspector. Due to the fact that the area around was abundant with all kinds of game, the manor house was a gathering point for hunters who set off for hunting. In the park next to the palace, the chapel of the guardian of hunters, St. Hubert. In 1929, the palace was purchased by the forest inspectorate of Ostrowiec forests. During the war, it housed a German casino and club, and in 1945 the palace was purchased by the city authorities, which turned it into an infectious diseases hospital. Later it was intended for educational purposes. After the fire in 2000, it was bought by the conservator of monuments and entrepreneur from Pawłów, Tomasz Puchała. In 2006, Pałacyk changed owners again – it was purchased by the Tarnowski family, who turned it into a hotel. However, it was only the new owner of the Tarnowski Palace, Mrs. Marzena Osuchowska, who managed it successfully and on a grand scale since 2019, to its full splendor. The effects of her efforts can be seen in this and other galleries, but it’s best to go to Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski and experience a bit of luxury in person 🙂
The remaining photos from the photo sessions at the Tarnowski Palace can be found in the following thematic galleries: Tarnowski Palace – Hotel dedicated to the hotel part located in the main building of the Palace, Tarnowski Palace – SPA “Perun’s cellar” gallery dedicated to the SPA part of the hotel, Tarnowski Palace – Manor House in this gallery you will find rooms located in the buildings of manor houses, and in this “you will taste” some of the dishes served by the palace restaurant Menu at the Tarnowski Palace .
